Roger Federer’s Woes Continue in Olympic Tennis Defeat
A miserable year has gone from bad to worse for the once-dominant tennis star.
Thursday’s defeat at the hands of American James Blake has just added to the nightmare stretch Roger Federer has endured and yet to wake up from. The loss in the quarterfinals in Beijing, along with his two losses to Nadal at Roland Garros and Wimbledon, have made a lot of people question what the now-former top-ranked tennis pro has left.
After dominating the tennis scene for so long, something that hasn’t been seen since the days of Pete Sampras, Roger Federer has struggled to find his form this year. He’s lost his No. 1 reign and, perhaps more importantly to others, he appears to have lost his intimidating presence that has made him so dominating over the years.
At 27, his career is far from finished; however, his dominance in men’s singles may be coming cialis bestellen to a close. Federer will now look ahead to defending his title at the US Open, but, more importantly for him, he will be trying to re-establish himself as the world’s best.
